Grand Haven, Michigan...Gruppo Cordenons, a manufacturer of fine paper based in Milan, Italy, presented an award to Borns LLC for the corporate image pieces they developed for Metal Flow Corporation.

The award-winning pieces are part of the branding and marketing program Borns developed for Metal Flow, a manufacturer of deep drawn components and assemblies for the automotive industry. Borns designed a business card and stationery system featuring the Metal Flow corporate brand identity they created.

"We specified Cordenons Stardream paper stock because of the deep, rich metallic colors and overall unique quality of the stock," says Randy Borns. Borns specified a combination of silver, maroon, and anthracite stocks. The reproduction methods included engraving and blind embossing/debossing. The new logo/logotype and signature was engraved in contrasting color on the respective colors of stock. The production was done by Rose Engraving in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Jean Rarick, Cordenons' national sales manager, came in from Minneapolis to present a beautiful glass trophy to Borns. "This award was especially an honor because the winners of the other categories included such companies as Nike and Lucas Films," offers Borns.

Since developing the award-winning pieces, Borns used Stardream envelopes for a very successful direct marketing campaign for Light Corporation. Light received such feedback from recipients as, "We couldn't ignore the beautiful packages (envelopes) that showed up in our stack of mail" and "We hated to see the series (of eight direct mail pieces) stop coming."
